The COVID-19 pandemic briefly delayed the project in early 2020 but the founders decided to proceed and started their first chapter in Baltimore. Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic the first student-approved chapter of Sigma Chi Psi began at Strayer University in October 2020.
This marked an important milestone in achieving the founders’ vision of making Sigma Chi Psi the first recognized collegiate Greek sorority for women pursuing higher education online.
